Driving Innovation in Health Functional Foods
Our researchers with excellent creativity and expertise
in each field promote technological innovation through
diverse technological synergy effects.
The Nutricare Innovation Center is an upgraded version of the health functional food research and development center established two years ago to make the future promising industry ‘healthcare’ the next-generation key growth engine of Nutricare, and is equipped with a focused research infrastructure such as advanced analysis equipment.
Accordingly, the company is concentrating its company-wide capabilities on strengthening corporate competitiveness through extensive infrastructure expansion, such as securing excellent human resources.

capabilities on strengthening corporate competitiveness
through extensive infrastructure expansion, such as securing
excellent human resources.
In particular, we are concentrating on R&D related to the latest technology, centered on researchers specializing in health functional foods with long-accumulated research know-how and experience, and through this,
we are continuing our efforts to increase customer satisfaction as well as new product development.
Researchers belonging to Nutricare Innovation are actively conducting activities related to intellectual property, such as research and development of new products and new technologies, as well as paper presentations and patent applications related to ingredients, and presentations at academic conferences.
In addition, we are conducting various clinical trials and efficacy tests in close relationships with other
universities and related research institutes, which is the key to securing Nutricare’s unrivaled competitiveness.
In line with the purpose of the Innovation Center, which was established to produce health food
that has been verified through systematic research beyond simply manufacturing healthcare products,
and to build an environment to become a leading healthcare company, Nutricare researchers
will continue to grow into a leading company in the industry. We will do our best to do it.

Nutricare RMI Center Executive Director Yun Sung Seob emphasizes that the RMI Center is the source of advanced technology development and an outpost that can lead to an increase in corporate value added.
Recently, Nutricare opened the Nutricare Innovation Center (NIC), which upgraded the health functional food research and development center established two years ago.
Of these, the RMI Center is emerging as a core that can increase market share and create new future food sources.
Executive Director Yun said, “Health functional food is evolving beyond the concept of inner beauty and into the ‘realm of mentality’. It is in the same context as mental care and sliponomics are attracting attention,” he explained, “the overall direction we are pursuing is oriental medical herbs, which can also be applied to cosmetics.”
He continued, “We decided that the only way to realize this was to increase added value with technology, so we tripled the number of researchers and strengthened production facilities such as advanced analysis equipment.”
We are contemplating the role of vertically integrated NIC from various angles, such as materialization through contract cultivation of broccoli in Hoengseong.
He also believes that new opportunities can be created through pet food,” he added. Along with this, Executive Director Yun is planning to apply for three patents, including a national project, and is putting a lot of effort into writing related thesis.
As the global trend is for health functional foods to have a higher percentage of patents and paper publications than certifications, it is judged that it is important to prove this through clinical data after securing a logical understanding. We are conducting research on ‘Gujippong’, ‘Wangwonchuri’, and ‘Broccoli’.

Now, consumers have higher standards for choosing healthy foods.
The food industry has also advanced to the level of dealing with personalized nutrition design.
K-Food is also expanding beyond Korea to the world.
K-food is increasingly in demand in the world, and interest in health functional foods is also increasing.
In particular, as the desire to maintain a healthy life has increased worldwide since the Covid-19 pandemic,
Korean health functional foods are also booming.
In line with this, Nutricare Healthcare R&D Center will make efforts
to make products that reach consumers by considering global quality,
global safety, and global nutrition. Thank you very much.
